Madrid tore the Girona defence to shreds courtesy of a Vinicius and Bellingham masterclass. The dynamic duo impressed once again and combined spectacularly to put Madrid two goals clear just before half-time. After the game, Ancelotti heaped praise on his superstars.

Asked about Vinicius' performance, Ancelotti said pointedly: “He’s the best in the world.
"[The next best being] Bellingham, Rodrygo the third, Valverde, Camavinga, Kroos.”
